Just glanced at this. Some interesting gimmicks, but the most important thing seems to be controlling which DPS gets bitten---how, and when. Failing to bite someone basically = raid wipe, so bite. Each "vampyr" can only bite someone who does not have the buff...so it's a mathematical progression. 1, 2, 4, 8...and...better finish her.
For instance, let's say that JJ/Kyarr is #3 on threat (assuming both tanks are higher on the threat meter during bite #1 around the 15s mark). JJ/Kyarr then gets a buff that increases his damage by 100% (refreshable each minute), and heals himself for 15% of his damage, while causing no threat. At the end of the first minute, he will need to bite someone else in order to refresh his buff. Let's say he bites Kyarr/JJ. Now we have the two (normally) highest melee DPSers at +100% of their damage. 50-60s later, they EACH have to bite to more players...again, I recommend the highest dps, going from melee to ranged first. That would PROBABLY mean Warrelf and I. Last iteration, we FOUR need to bite the remaining four non-tanks. I will naturally bite my loving wife. Other healers in close to melee so JJ/Kyarr can bite them. Warrelf bites Z.
Think that's a pretty decent process for bite assignments, and there's no pride in ownership here...if she's more susceptible to arcane than shadow, then Z probably needs bitten before I do. Tanks shouldn't be bitten for obvious threat reasons.
I am not clear on the blood bond-type thing, although the pooping shadows seems pretty self-explanatory and fear is fear. Other thoughts, please bring them tonight, and watch the video on tankspot beforehand.
Thanks. Oh, and a great picture that shows the bite concept is up on elitistjerks...will try to post the pic to our gallery. Smarter peeps than I might be able to place it into this thread.
