Not saying I am...but am I going overboard to say that clothies have it EASY thus far in this game? Itemization, the whole spirit = hit rating thing, ranged damage in general (although spawning "fire" at range is a nice twist on sharing the pain the melee feel)

http://www.wowhead.com/items?filter=qu=3:4;minle=200;ub=5;gm=4;rf=1;wt=119:24:170:96:123:103:23;wtv=.3703:.3703:.3326:.3703:.8087:.4696:1;gb=1#wrist

Sooo, in no particular order...the lazy clothie's guide to being lazy to 85.

1) Go to Ogrimmar. Train your skills, get Archaeolgy. Get to Hyjal. Do every quest, get revered. Buy your arcanum, tabard, and honored items, even if you won't be able to wear until later.
2) Don't sweat armor proficiency...because you can only wear cloth anyway! Go to Deepholm. Max out those quests, get honored with Therazane. Buy a shoulder enchant and a tabard.
3) Ignore dungeons until you are 85. Get the quests, find the entrances, go inside and finish teh first steps...but no need to go dungeon grinding--you need the rep, ya lazy bum!
4) Go to Uldum. Quest around. Get honored with Ramakhen. Buy your honored item and tabard, start doing their dailies.
5) Go to Twilight Highlands. Quest around. Get honored-ish with Dragonmaw. Ding 85. Buy your item and tabard. Start doing their dailies.
6) Go to Tol Barad and check out the dailies there. There are BOTH PvE dailies (always available) and PvP dailies (available in the PvP area ONLY when we have the battleground, and no--they aren't against alliance, they're just in the PvP zone).
7) Go BACK to Vash'jr. Queue for pugs as DPS while you do 150+ quests, while wearing your Hyjal tabard. These quests give you Earthen Ring rep.
Cool Take a breath.
9) Now, check your reps. You should be Honored with almost everyone but Hellscream, and Revered with Hyjal. At this point, look at it like this: Honored gets you at least one piece of ilevel 333 gear with each faction, Revered gets you a piece of 346 gear, and Exalted gets you your 359 gear.
10) Check your Justice points. Get the Mask of New Snow when you have the points and if you haven't gotten a better 346 helm. Valor points accrue SLOWLY right now, so don't sweat your tier gear yet--and in terms of itemization, you still have your legs and chest to get first (as they're typically the best itemized for clothies and give you the biggest quality-point upgrades).
11) Do your dailies! Fishing and cooking if you care to (jewelcrafting if you can), otherwise you will be doing: 2 Uldum (Ramakhen rep), 6 Deepholm (Therazane rep, which becomes 7 quests at revered), 5 Twilight Highlands (Dragonmaw rep), and the rest out in Tol Barad (Hellscream rep). I have never failed to find at least 12 dailies out there when we have the PvP zone (6 PvE, usually 6 PvP--up to 12 PvP quests DAILY).
12) Dungeons: You are not eligible for Heroic dungeons until you have an ilevel of at least 329 (located in your character tab). Do your daily when you can.
12) Reps: Hyjal tabard first (since you're almost done anyway and they have NO dailies) for the Cord of the Raven Queen (359 belt)
13) Earthen Ring tabard next (no dailies) for the Flameborn Gloves (359).
14) Ramakhen tabard next (only 2 dailies) for the Desert Walker Sandals (359).
15) By now you should have mostly 346 gear from revered rep with everyone, enough Justice Points to choke a horse (even if you are just running one dungeon a day--heroic or otherwise), and know what to expect in pugs. Now you're just filling the gaps in your equipment.
16) Therazane, Dragonmaw, and Hellscream should all come at about the same rate. From them you get your maxxed shoulders enchants, the Yellow Smoke Necklace, and new MOUNTS, respectively.
17) Speaking of which, exalted with Uldum also nets you a camel...enjoy!
18) Grab a beer, go farm ore and herbs, and try to form a guild group up for lowbie dungeons (guild achievements!!!) Strive for your 359 T-whatever-level-gear-we're-at-this-iteration-of-the-ratmaze OR go raid Baradin Hold and hope for a drop OR wait for the next patch that will make it a moot point.
19) BTW, Hellscream purchases are made with commendation tokens...kinda like champion badges up at AT. Every other faction takes good, hard GOLD.
20) Reroll Goblin.

Creep,

Do you gain more rep via quest or instances with tabard? Just curious if you knew.

Cheers!
